Dear Diary,
I don’t really know what I should do for a job. Do I want to make clothes or be a farmer? I don’t know. I think I should be a farmer, because let me tell you: I am terrible at making clothes. Last time I tried to make something, it instantly fell apart. I’m not joking because my hot mess of an outfit started to unravel. I was annoyed, but then I thought it was really funny so, I should probably be a farmer if the textiles I attempt to create fall apart almost instantly. Oh, I forgot to mention this whole “union” thing that I greatly dislike.
I’m just a little bit of a bad mood because of King Menes forcing Upper and Lower Egypt to unite. I can’t stand those stupid country bumpkins! They are very close minded and hard to communicate with! Mostly it’s because they talk like they hit their head on a rock far too many times. This makes trade really difficult too. At the same time, it’s pretty funny.
Now then, back to what I was saying earlier, being a farmer sounds like a good idea because one of my friends, Anam, has kids who love fruits and vegetables, so I can help Anam and make his kids happy. Also, Anam makes tools, meaning we can trade. I’d also love to learn how to use a shaduf, tame animals to help farm and all that fun stuff. However, I’ve heard it’s hard work, but I think it’s worth it. I’ve even met the people that will help me and work in the fields with me, and I’m starting to think I’ll enjoy farming, because these people have had a lot more experience than me. Also, they are patient and they’re here to help me.
Sincerely,
Abu Kahzu
